WARNING
Don't be fooled by phony advertising. We haven't found an offer of grass-fed pork on the Internet that is legitimate other than ours. Grass-fed pork is red-meat pork.
Grassfed is best!
"Grass-Fed" livestock are raised solely on grasses and legumes such as clovers and alfalfa. "Pastured" livestock are raised on grassy pastures, but they are also supplemented with grains and other foreign foodstuffs.

Grass-Fed Pork
Products and pricing are below the introduction.
Our hogs are literally Wild Caught "Grass-Fed" critters. Therefore our pork comes from the most "naturally-raised" pigs in the world! They are WAY BEYOND "PASTURED." Unlike some pork offerings from disreputable outfits easily found on the Internet (some so despicable they even copy our words verbatim on their Web sites), our pigs are not raised on feeds we provide. They literally forage at large eating what pigs eat -- which is virtually everything and anything that's in the natural wild world. Our pigs are not BIG. Sometimes they are quite lean, sometimes they are fat. The only time we feed our pigs is while they are being held just prior to being sent to processing. Then we feed them alfalfa -- a high quality green leafy plant. By the way, since nuts are very seasonal it only makes sense that pigs cannot be dining on acorns and such for more than a month or so a year. So, beware of folks who claim their pigs are raised on acorns. Not only are acorns highly seasonal, but in actual fact they are really not all that nutritious compared to grass.

In a way, the cartoon is no joke. Geneticists really are trying to tip the DNA on their pigs, which are fed grain in confinement housing, in order to boost the pigs' Omega-3 fatty acid levels. Why don't scientists do an even better job of balancing Essential Fatty Acids in their pigs by utilizing the old fashioned natural way -- of simply not feeding their pigs grain? Well, it takes too long for a piglet to grow without grain and the grazing method is not easily mass-produced.
As with all animal life, what holds true for any pig also applies to "heritage" pigs. If a heritage pig is fed grain it's no different than any other grain-fed pig. So buyer beware. Just because a pig is "free range," "heritage," "natural," "organic," or "pastured" never means it has the nutritional benefits of a genuine wild caught pig.
Our pigs range at large foraging for their natural food. They graze grass just like cattle. Most of what they eat is grass, forbes, and leaves of trees. But they also eat grubs, roots, acorns, berries, fruits (acorns, berries, and fruits are strictly seasonal), eggs, critters of all kinds, and about anything else they come across in the pastures and woods where they live. (In fact, their diet is about the same as a grass-fed chicken!) They are not caged, penned, confined in dirt lots, nor raised in buildings. Make no mistake about it, unlike all other pork producers we know (free range, pastured, heritage, natural, organic, etc.), our pigs are not supplemented with grain or grain-based feeds. They are wild pigs. Consequently their meat is not "the other white meat." It's red meat; sometimes as dark as deer meat! Real wild caught hogs will always have red meat of about the same color as our grass-fed beef!
Our wild caught pork cuts are shrink wrapped, frozen, and freezer ready. As you can imagine, the price of pork will change with the market price of pigs. Consequently, all prices are subject to change--sometimes on short notice.

![]() This next picture shows some Grass-Fed Pigs grazing with some young Grass-Fed Calves and a Grass-Fed Chicken. Note that the Grass-Fed Pigs are not fat like those pictured above. Of course, at the time this picture was taken the grass was short so the pigs were on "short rations."
